What is the security hold balance?

Starting from March 1, 2018, a security hold balance will be implemented to achieve the following:

  1. Enhance customer service by allowing vendors to process refunds promptly. This prevents situations where vendors are unable to refund customers due to insufficient funds, resulting in a negative experience.

  2. Eliminate the need for vendors to contact WeTeachMe for fund deposits when facing the aforementioned scenario.

  3. Provide increased protection against fraudulent activity, minimizing the impact on vendors and customers in case such incidents occur.

Important notes:

  1. WeTeachMe has the authority to set the hold balance equal to the maximum price of a vendor's class, enabling full refunds if requested.

  2. Vendors can view the hold balance on their account dashboard.

  3. Upon account cancellation, the hold balance will be accessible for withdrawal once all outstanding course or gift vouchers owed to customers have been resolved. Requests for account closure should be sent by the main account holder to support@weteachme.com.
